Kent Pavelko Obituary

Kent Pavelko, 74, of Hartley, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA. A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the VFW in Spirit Lake. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Online condolences may be left at www.spiritlakefuneralhome.com Kent Joseph Pavelko was born on October 13, 1950, in Lake Field, MN; to Joseph and Rene (VanWesten) Pavelko. He graduated from high school in Jackson, MN; and attended college to earn a technical degree. Kent owned and operated Creative Kitchen & Baths in Arnolds Park, IA. He served in the US National Guard for 7 years. Kent was united in marriage to Ellie Kimball on August 29, 2009. In his free time, he enjoyed karaoke. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Ellie Pavelko of Hartley, IA; children, Brent Pavelko and family, Ryan Pavelko and family, Melissa Pavelko and family, Danny (Jolene) Salmon of Jackson, MN; Shannon Salmon of Hartley; Tammy (Stephen) Kovac of Florida; Tony Roy (Erin) Salmon of Milford; Angie (Richie) of Graettinger; Jesse Kimball of Hartley; and Kyle Kimball of Spirit Lake; grandchildren Daniel Jr., Cheyenne, Nicholas, Joseph, Corey, Anthony Jr., Desiree, Annalise, Ellay, Mazio, Brianna, Cameron, Abby, Landon, Maddison, Kyle, Kevin, Johnny, AJ, Daston, and Hailey; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Craig (Connie) Pavelko of Terril; Deb (Scott) Glenn of Arlington, TX; Kay (Meredith) Hanson of Spirit Lake; Mike (Mary) Pavelko of Worthington, MN; and William (Gail) Pavelko of Coon Rapids, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, great grandson Javier Lopez and his beloved dog Chico Boy.
