Frank L. Bartoe III, age 74, of New Bavaria, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, March 30, 2026, at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born in Toledo, Ohio, on Aug. 15, 195,1 to the late Doris (Wood) and Frank L. Bartoe II. On May 18, 1971, he married Tina Bolden, who survives.
Frank worked at Campbell's Soup Co. for over 38 years until his retirement in 2019. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching "Gunsmoke" and Westerns on television, playing pool, and he loved to pull dandelions out of the yard.
Frank loved to spend time with his grandkids and great-grandkids and will be greatly missed by his family and many good friends.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Tina Bartoe of New Bavaria; his children, Frank L. (Bridgette) Bartoe IV, Samantha (Dana) Bartoe and Clark (Amanda) Bartoe; five grandchildren, Rhachel (Joshua) Liebhauser, Frank L. (Grace) Bartoe V, Destiny Bartoe, Clark Bartoe Jr. and Emily Bartoe; and three great-grandchildren, Jonah, Jackson and Judah Liebhauser.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, LaVonne (Gary) Krohn and Linda Bartoe.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 2-6 p.m. at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Charles Alley officiating.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
