Joseph Woodrow Schroeder, age 36, of Ridgeville Corners, Ohio, was born on April 12, 1989, and passed away on Sept. 27, 2025.
Joseph was the beloved son of Lynn and Luana Schroeder, and a cherished brother to Michelle (Andrew) Wright and Jeff (Ivy) Schroeder.
He will be forever remembered by his nieces and nephews, who lovingly called him "Uncle Gummy" for his constant stash of candy or "Uncle JoJo," a name that reflected the special bond he shared with them.
Joseph is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward Schroeder, Violet Eberly, Woodrow Reimund and Margene Reimund.
As a student at The Modern College of Design in Kettering, Ohio, Joseph's creative spirit shined through his love for graphic design. He worked as a Maintenance Technician with APA Solar Racking, where his dedication and strong work ethic made a lasting impression.
Joseph was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a proud survivor of bone cancer. His resilience, kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand touched the lives of many.
He found joy in life's simple pleasures: hunting, fishing, golf, woodworking and cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes. He also had a passion for Late Model dirt track racing, a pastime that fueled his adventurous spirit.
Joseph's kind heart, warm smile, strong hugs and generosity will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Funeral services for Joseph will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church, Ridgeville Corners, Ohio, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, from 2-7 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
