Judith Violet Mae (Anderson) Strayer, 82, of Liberty Center was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus Sunday morning on Nov. 23.
Born Feb. 2, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Donna (Fisher) Anderson. She was married to Donald Williamson for five years before his passing.
Judy later married Russell Strayer in 1987. They went on to spend 36 happy years together.
Judy was a 1961 graduate of Otsego High School. Always a hard worker and putting her family first, she was a proud homemaker raising her four kids. Later she went on to study business. She worked for many years at Great Lakes Ford Nissan as a bookkeeper before retiring.
Judy was an active member at Liberty Chapel, where she enjoyed the women's ministry, the welcome center ministry, and especially working the church's food stand at the fair with Russ every summer.
Notably, Judy had an eye for design and liked nice things. She and Russ enjoyed home improvement projects and keeping their yard manicured. She also enjoyed helping her kids and grandkids decorate their homes and offered a helping hand when it came to landscaping projects, making sure to offer her opinions of what would look best.
Judy collected antiques and Longaberger baskets. When it came time to downsize, she was happy to pass down her things for her kids and grandkids to enjoy.
Judy undoubtedly loved spending time with her family, whether it was fish fries, game nights, big holiday gatherings, or the simplest of visits. Judy was always smiling when her family was near, and there were sure to be many laughs.
To cherish Judy's memory, she is survived by her children, Jeanette (Ronald) Saneholtz, Amy (Mark Bercaw) Tomlin, John (Bobby Johnson) Pennell, Michele (Matt Kerwin) Pennell; grandchildren, Nicholas Mattoni, Alysia (Cody) Agler, Tyler (Jennifer Almaguer) Schuette, Luke Johnson and Justin (Kayla) Saneholtz; great-grandchildren, Bella, Nixon and Kendra. She is also survived by her siblings, Sandra (Leo) Price and Gary (Cindy) Anderson, and Russell's son, Ted Strayer.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her first husband, Donald Williamson, and more recently in July 2023 her husband Russell Strayer; brothers, Kenneth Anderson and James Anderson; son-in-law Jeff Tomlin; and Russell's son, Tim Strayer.
Visitation for Judy will be held on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025, from 2-5 p.m. at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, 1010 Westmoreland Ave., Napoleon, Ohio. An additional time of visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
