Patricia Esther Butler, 82, of rural McClure, Ohio, died peacefully Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at her residence.
Pat was born June 19, 1943, at her family home in Richland Township, Ohio, to the late Ronald and Geraldine (Becker) Muntz. On Jan. 20, 1962, she married Delbert Butler in Holgate, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on April 14, 2024.
Pat had worked as a teletype operator for Defiance Crescent News, an Avon lady, and retired as a cook at Otsego Schools. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, McClure, Ohio.
Pat loved music. She learned how to play the piano and organ as a girl, playing for her childhood church and then learned to play several other instruments over the years. She also enjoyed sewing, crafts, baking, canning, gardening, and loved her pets.
She is survived by her children, Sherry (Mike) Vasko, Chris Weaks and Edward Butler; grandchildren, Matt (Nicole) Rowland, Sonia (Mark) Schlegel, Jason Vasko, Christopher (Kat) Vasko and Brian Vasko; great-grandchildren, Raven, Roslyn, Willow, and Wyatt Rowland, Emery and Elyse Schlegel, Lincoln, Issac, and Josiah Vasko, and Caden Vasko and Bryson Kryder; brother, Robert (Myra) Muntz; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Muntz-Pope.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sara Vasko; son-in-law, Al Weaks; and brother, Melvin Muntz.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, Ohio. Interment will follow at Hockman Cemetery, McClure, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Henry County Humane Society.
