Ronald Alan Richard, 58, of McClure, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024.
He was born in Napoleon, Ohio, to the late Bert and Lavonda (Rabe) Richard on Jan. 9, 1966. On March 29, 2003, he married Annette Dominique at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, Ohio.
Ron was employed at Campbell Soup Supply Co. for 35 years, and was also a lifelong farmer with his Dad and children. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the Sons of the American Legion.
Ron loved cheering on his children at their sporting events at Napoleon High School, attending Detroit Tigers games and supporting The Ohio State Buckeyes. Ron had a friend in everyone he met and could talk for hours. He had a great sense of humor and a quick wit.
He is survived by his wife Annette; children, Albert "AJ" and Jillian; siblings, Alice Bitzinger and Marian (Leonard) Beck; mother-in-law, Vivian Dominique; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Doug Bitzinger; and father-in-law, Floyd Dominique.
Friends and family will be received at the Rodenberger-Gray Funeral home, Napoleon, on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, Deshler, on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, at 11 a.m., with an hour of visitation prior to services. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Napoleon.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in care of the funeral home for his children or a charity of your choice.
