Ronkeith Ward, age 91, entered his Heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Nov. 25, 2025.
Ronkeith was born on Jan. 3, 1934, in Grundy, Virginia, to Cecil and Lily (Smith) Ward.
On April 18, 1959, he married the love of his life Juanita (Spears) Ward in Lovingston, Virginia. Together, the two made unforgettable memories and raised a beautiful family.
Ronkeith served his country in the United States Army from 1955-58 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. After his service, he supported his family as a truck driver for Freightway and retired from the Local #20.
Ronkeith was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He had a passion for Christ and was a faithful long-time member of First Baptist Church Holgate.
Ronkeith is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Juanita Ward of Malinta, Ohio; son, Larry (Sandy) Ward of Napoleon, Ohio; brother, Kemp (Mae) Ward of Front Royal, Virginia; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to Ronkeith's parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Ward; brothers, Rudolph Ward, Delford Ward and JC Ward; sisters, Geneva White and LoJean Barnet.
A visitation will be held at First Baptist Church, 448 S. Keyser St., Holgate, Ohio 43527, on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, from 3-7 p.m. On Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, there will be another visitation from 10-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Irl Grundy and Pastor Charlie Alley officiating. Interment will be at Hoy Cemetery, 8842 County Road O3, Napoleon, Ohio 43545. There will be a meal and time of fellowship with the family at the church following the committal service.
Flowers may be delivered to the church on Thursday from 1–3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church in honor of Ronkeith. Donation envelopes will be available at the church.
