Timothy "Tim" W. Townsend, 55, of Napoleon passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, in Hamilton County, Indiana.
He was born Aug. 3, 1969, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Bruce and Patricia (Sanders) Townsend.
Tim married his wife of 19 years, the love of his life, Michelle (Davidson) on July 18, 2005, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tim and Michelle met while both driving trucks and a chance passing was the beginning of love that endured. Tim would then refer to Michelle as "his sexy wife!" Tim was a man of his word. He was the most trusting, honorable man one could ever meet.
He was a life member of OOID (Independent Truck Drivers). He had a passion for remote control cars, planes and trucks. He enjoyed restoring old vehicles and loved to tinker. He loved his animals and his family, especially being childlike with his grandkids. Above all his family was first and foremost to him.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle; daughters, Teena (Justin) Hutcherson of Holgate, Katelyn Harden of Defiance, Gillian Harden of Michigan, Jennifer (Derrick) Wiseman of Michigan; sons, Kelli Wiseman of Malinta and Travis Townsend of Alaska; 15 grandchildren, Cory, Dylan (Taylor), Oliver, Ian, Abigail, Kyson, Kamarin, Austin, April, Allie, Emersyn, Rylee, Moli, Anthony and Wraylynn; five great-grandchildren, and one on the way; sister, Tammy (Dan) Best of Allentown, Pennsylvania; brother, Troy Townsend of Miami, Florida; aunt and uncle, Linda and Kelly Townsend, of Titusville, Florida; three dogs, as well as nine cats.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Patricia, and a brother, Johnathan.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, from 1-4 p.m. at Snyder-Wesche-Hoening Funeral Home, 830 Scott St., Napoleon 43545.

I was Tim´s kindergarten teacher in Anchorage, Alaska. He was very precocious and we had quite a special bond. He truly captured my heart as a child and as the man he had become. Tim was definitely charismatic and the highlight of my teaching career. Believe it or not, we stayed in touch all these years and I am so grateful he was in my life! He grew up to be a kind, loving and exceptional family man in spite of all he endured at a very young age. I will carry him in my heart forever and will cherish all all the memories I have of this incredible man!
Heartfelt condolences to his family. He will be greatly missed by everyone that was fortunate enough to have known him!
