To the Coleman Family.
My family and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to all of you. I had the pleasure of being a choir member, along with a younger sister, at AME Zion Baptist Church in Norwich (my family church). Ms. Coleman was a wonderful teacher and choir director and tolerated a lot of our shenanigans. She never yelled at us. She just simply gave us "The Look". And when she did, we knew to get ourselves together. She was kind and so musically inclined. She wore her joy in her spirit! She loved how music brought everyone together. And she made the piano do what she wanted it to do. I loved listening to her play.
May God keep you all in his glory and favor, and see you through these trying times as you mourn your beloved Barbara. And try to remember that although her soul is no longer in the physical world, her spirit will forever live within you. God bless you.

Barbara and I shared the same babysitter ( the late Mrs Josephine Loynes) for many years. Not only was she music inclined . May I note that from my observation she was great roll model in several ways. Her love for her children and and the entire New London county. We always encouraged each other and I have highly respect for her ambition and love for Jesus.

Barbara was my music teacher in Middle School.(1972-74) I loved her! She was kind to me, as I couldn't play an instrument, or sing. RIP Barbara, you will be missed!

I worked with Barbara at Kelly Jr. High in Norwich, CT. She was a remarkable teacher, and a lovely person. My sympathies to her family and friends.
