CLINTON WINTERS Obituary

Clinton Allen Winters A Good Man. Clinton Allen Winters, 74, was born in Muskegon, Michigan on November 9, 1939 to Virginia Marie Smith and Clinton Russel Winters and died September 12, 2014. Everyone called him Allen. He came to Washington in 1952 and graduated Highline HS in 1958 and showed a passion for languages, which he applied when he enlisted in the Army during the Korean War. There he furthered his mastery and learned Korean and Japanese along with Spanish, serving as a linguist for two years. After his service, Allen worked for Consolidated Freightway for 30 years before retiring in 1995. He was an ombudsman for eight years. He is survived by his beloved wife Kristi Winters, his sister Barbara McIntosh (Tommy), brother Ken (Michelle), numerous nephews and nieces and his stepchildren Ann Cooley (Richard), Julie Kintzi-Ray (Ken), Max Kintzi and his granddaughter Beth Cooley. Services will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8615 176th St E, Puyallup 98375, Saturday, September 20 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donate to American Cancer Society.

Allen was a great person to be around. I met him my 10th grade year at Puyallup High School when I became friends with Max. We used to go to Mrs Turners for SOS and I found out from him. Allen and Kristi went to Puyallup football games when Max and I were football mgrs. We shall miss him but he is in Heaven. Thank you welcoming me in ur family. Sorry I ate u out of house and home when we were kids. We love u and will mid u. Love the Martins Kenny and Paula.
