Henry Pietrowski Obituary

Henry Pietrowski August 15, 1935 - January 23, 2012 Norwich - Henry J. Pietrowski, 76, husband of Anita (Cydylo) Pietrowski formerly of 40 River Ave., Norwich, died Monday evening at Beechwood Manor in New London. Born in Norwich on August 15, 1935, he was the son of the late Walter and Helen (Ostrowski) Pietrowski. Prior to retirement, together with his wife, they owned and operated Franklin St. Package Store in Norwich. On August 22, 1959 at St. Patrick Cathedral in Norwich he was united in marriage to Anita (Cydylo) Pietrowski who survives along with two sons, Walter H. Pietrowski and his wife Saori of New Jersey, and Richard Russell of California; one daughter Jeanne A. Sigel and her husband Steve on New London. Three grandchildren, Niko Pysyk, Allison Robertson, and Jorie Showalter. Four great grandchildren, Elijah Pysyk, Daniel Brown, Jack Robertson, and Nora Robertson. Also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Jeanina McFarlane. Visitation from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday at 10 A.M. at the funeral home with interment to follow in Divine Providence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations are asked to be made in his memory to Beechwood Manor Physical Therapy Dept., 31 Vauxhall St., New London, CT 06362.

I lost my Best Friend and Hero, we had our differences to, but Henry gave me and my sister a good life with our Mom Anita. Words will never say how much Henry will be missed. I Love You Mr. Pietrowski, say Hello to your Mom, Dad, & Sister for me.
