John was a catcher in little League coached by my father. My Dad always commented on what dedication John had. He was a good player then a good friend in our school years, and a general all around gentleman as I knew him. I am sure he is remembered and missed by many

I am very sorry for your loss. I was so sad to see that John had passed away. John was my manager at Connecticut Mutual for many years and I really loved working for him. Of all the managers that I had over the years, John was my favorite. He was not only a great manager but a good friend. I have many wonderful memories and will never forget him.

Heartfelt condolences to John's family and friends. So sad to hear of the passing of this wonderful person. My husband Allan played softball with John in Manchester, CT in the 80's, and we all had countless fun times getting together back then. John was one of the nicest, funniest, sweetest people I've ever had the pleasure to know, and we all loved him. Even though we unfortunately lost touch after many years, we often talked about "John D" and wondered what he was up to now. It sounds like we missed alot of good stories about a beautiful family. So nice to know how happy he was, just very sorry we'll never have the chance to see him again. I can still see that dazzling smile and hear his infectious laugh. He'll always live on in our hearts. With love, Michele & Allan Robb
