Dear Anne and David,
Great photo of your mother. I always thought she was striking, very pretty really. Often, when at the end of Gallup Street at the stop sign (our daughter Jennie and her family live on Gendron) I will look up and have a brief memory of your family. I guess that is what happens when you live in the same area for over 70 years. It is a difficult milestone to lose your mother. She lived a long and very productive life. Sending condolences and God's peace for you both at this time.

I want to say that Maureen and I were in the first LPN class at Day Kimball Hospital. We had a wonderful time together helping each other . It was great to know her.

Mrs. Opperman was my first grade teacher at Plainfield Grammar School in 1983. I remember her and her classroom vividly and with great fondness. I thought she was a wonderful lady. My condolences to her loved ones.
