Michael Kettle Obituary

Michael A. Kettle February 19, 1954 - December 31, 2010 Plainfield - Michael A. Kettle, 56, of 95 Daggett St. Moosup beloved husband of Sally (Gallup) Kettle died unexpectedly Friday morning at Day-Kimball Hospital, Putnam. He was born February 19, 1954 in Norwich a son Of Harold "Deke" and Irene (Berard) Kettle of Moosup and had been a lifelong resident of the community. Michael was a 1971 graduate of Plainfield High School. He had been employed as a truck driver for many years and last worked for Northeast Carriers. Michael was a 25 year member of the Moosup Fire Department and had coached little league and basketball. Besides his wife he leaves two sons Nolan M. Kettle and Brett T. Kettle both of Moosup; two daughters Heather Field of Brooklyn and Jennifer Baker of Japan; one brother Timothy Kettle of Moosup; two sisters Laura Champagne of Charlestown, RI. and Anne Yaworski of Moosup; eight grandchildren, Anthony, Madison, Jacob, Jaden, Alexis, Nicholas, Kaylee and Alexander; also many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be celebrated Saturday Janurary 8, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church of Danielson, 9 Spring St. Danielson. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family for future education expenses for Michael's children. Dougherty Bros. Funeral Home, Plainfield has been entrusted with arrangements.

Mike was a friend in high school, only saw him a few times after, I saw him recently. He knew me, what a shock to me. Made me laugh again! That's Mike!
