To the family of Terry,
Nine years and I still think of Terry. I do not forget people who I always respected. We had some laughs and enjoyed working with each other.

I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was such an important person to me as a young girl. I was a member of her 4-H Club - the Jolly Homemakers! So many of us were so lucky that your Mom was willing to give so much of her time and patience to us. Aside from the week to week skills, she taught us even more by example about leadership, generosity, and service. My prayers are with you at this time.

Dear Father Ted and family,
My condolences on the loss of your wonderful mother. Terry and I worked many hours in the Emergency Room and Operating Room at the WWB Hospital. She had a great sense of humor and was a delight to be with in a professional relationship as well as a social friendship. I remember when the family vacationed at Rangeley, ME and Terry would tell me stories of the beautiful lake and countryside.
She was a great person.

To say that Terry was a wonderful woman would really be an understatement. I first met Terry in 1982 when she was one of the 4 people responsible for developing the very first paramedic program in eastern CT. It was a collaboration between Backus Hospital & Professional Ambulance Service of Norwich. Terry was the program coordinator, as well as Backus Hospital's first EMS Coordinator. She was intelligent, compassionate, and an effective educator. She was dedicated to her family, her faith, and her career. Terry expected competence and professional conduct from her paramedics which certainly wasn't unreasonable! She would even ride on the ambulance from time to time so that she knew what it was like on the street because her background was nursing. I remember her riding one night when a young man was inadvertently shot & killed by a police officer in Norwich. To be sure a very tragic call, and certainly much different than what she had experienced as a RN in the Emergency Department. I was fortunate enough to stay in touch with Terry over the many years. I've always admired Terry, and I know that I'm far from alone. Her hard and visionary work in the early 80's was the catalyst for success for myself & others in that first paramedic class. I've never forgotten that. Terry has left a great legacy in EMS, one that continues. May God reward her innate kindness & dedication with eternal peace and a very special place in heaven. My condolences to Fr. Ted and Terry's family on your loss. The photo of Terry is with actor Randy Mantooth from TV's EMERGENCY! at our 2008 EMS Week Dinner.
