Annie V. Jimenez

Annie V. Jimenez, 71, of North Platte, passed away on Feb. 6, 2022, at Great Plains Health. She was born on Jan. 1, 1951, to Benancio and Stella Gusman in Ovid, Colorado. Annie grew up in Ovid and graduated high school with the class of 1970. After high school, she met and fell in love with Ignacio Jimenez and they were married on Nov. 20, 1971, in Julesburg, Colorado. To this union, three children were born: Bridget, Suzette and Genero. The family moved to North Platte in 1989. Annie was always a stay-at-home mom, making sure her family came first. Annie was very dedicated to her faith, often attending church services several times a week. She loved to shop and cooked the best Mexican food. Annie was extremely devoted to her grandchildren and attended all of their sporting and school events. Her faith and her family were the foundation of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Benancio and Stella Gusman; and her brother, Joe Gusman. Annie is survived by her husband, Ignacio; children, Bridget Fairbanks, Suzette Manzano and Genero Jimenez; grandchildren, Bridget, Brayden and Bryanna Fairbanks and Aniston, Collin and Liam Manzano; siblings, Amalia Johnson, Martha (Gonzalo) Varela, Ross (Nora) Gusman and Pete Gusman; and several other family and friends. Memorials are suggested to the Cross of Christ Revival Center, North Platte. Online condolences may be shared at adamsswanson.com. Cremation was chosen. Private family services will be at a later date. Book signing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
