Juanita Tarango

Juanita Tarango, 68, of North Platte, passed away to be with her Lord on May 31, 2013, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center.
She was born on Nov. 11, 1944, to Elisa Contreras and Tereso Medrano in Hillsdale, Mich. She was united into marriage to Augustine Tarango on June 3, 1967. Juanita devoted her life to her Lord, family and friends. She loved embroidery, Spanish music and Mexican dancing.
She is survived by her husband, Augustine, of North Platte; her son, Augie (fiancé, Peggy Dixon) Tarango, of North Platte; her daughter, Vicky (Rodney) Smith, of North Platte; her mother, Elisa Medrano, of North Platte; her brothers, Jesse (Annie) Medrano, of Amana, Iowa, and Joe (Patty) Medrano, of North Platte; sisters, Maria (the late Fred) Nehls, of Lincoln, Lupe (Chuck) Duncan, of North Platte, and Mary Ann (Charlie) Rainwater, of Penrose, Colo.; grandsons, the late Antony Tarango, Johnnie Moore Jr., Christopher Tarango, RJ Smith and Isaac Smith, all of North Platte; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends who she loved very much.
Juanita was preceded in death by her father, Tereso Medrano; her daughters, Julie Ann Tarnago, Msg. Linda Ann Tarango-Griess; her grandson, Antony Tarango; her brother-in-law, Fred Nehls; and sister-in-law, Marilee Medrano.

Christian Wake Services will be at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 6, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Friday, June 7, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. James Golka as celebrant. Cremation was chosen. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., today and Wednesday, June 5, and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, June 6, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home.
