Linda Jean McCormick Eggleston Linda Jean McCormick Eggleston, formerly of North Platte, passed away Nov. 17, 2021, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Linda was born May 28, 1951, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to parents Betty (Foster) and Keith McCormick; stepfather, Wallace McKay. Linda married Ron Eggleston in 1979, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Linda graduated from North Platte High School, attended Kearney State College in 1975, and earned her LPN in 1975 from Mid-Plains Community College's Practical Nurse Program and her RN in 1978 from Methodist Medical Center School of Nursing. She went on to work at Methodist Medical Center in St. Joseph and John C. Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Linda was a descendent of William Brewster, and was a member of the Mayflower Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Linda loved traveling with her husband, Ron, extensively to Europe, the United Kingdom, Ireland and the U.S. She studied history, visiting many historical sites and locations, and read many historical books. She investigated the genealogy of her family and visited many locations where past generations of her father and mother lived, including Ireland. She loved cooking and using a variety of recipes and techniques. She also loved to garden and use the food she produced. She was a much-loved and respected RN by the nurses, therapists, doctors and all those she worked with. Most of all, she loved her family, sister, brothers, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and many extended family members. She is survived by her husband, Ron of Phoenix; children, stepdaughter, Lora Ann (Jim) of Phoenix and stepson, Matthew (Julie Ann) of Scottsdale; step-grandsons, Jess of Phoenix, Ray of Phoenix, Camille of Scottsdale, Pierce of Scottsdale and Gerard of Scottsdale; sister, Kathy (Tom) Gunderson of Phoenix, Keith (Ronna) McCormick of Casper, Wyoming, Michael (Shari) McCormick of Coppell, Texas; stepbrother, Ron (Mary) McKay of North Platte and nieces and nephews who she loved very much as her own children along with numerous other family members.
