Carroll Henry "Bud" Wilkin, 89, of Woodstock went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Winchester Medical Center.

Bud was born September 15, 1932, in Maurertown, Virginia, son of the late George W. Wilkin, Sr. and Georgie Carr Wilkin.

He was predeceased by his brothers, James Wilkin and George W. Wilkin, Jr.

Bud is survived by his wife of 63 years, Wanda Cleary Wilkin; son, Carroll D. Wilkin (Kristie); daughter, Carla Plaugher (Tracy), all of Woodstock; grandson, Trey Burke (Pam) of Winchester; granddaughter, Allison Wilkin of Woodstock, great-grandchildren, Jameson and Alayna Burke; beloved fur babies, "Zeke", "Shad", and "Cadbury"; and numerous friends along with his family of First Baptist Church- Woodstock.

Bud was a member of First Baptist Church- Woodstock. He retired in April 1998 after approximately 20 years of service from the Town of Woodstock as a street foreman. He was a charter and life member of the Woodstock Rescue Squad. He served in the U. S. Army in Military Police from 1954 to 1956 and was a member of the American Legion Post 199.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 21, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock; please wear casual attire as per Bud's request. Deacon Dave Evans will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bud can be made to First Baptist Church, 116 Lakeview Drive, Woodstock, VA 22664, or Furry Friends Rescue, Inc., 486 North Main Street, Woodstock, VA 22664.
