Eva Fritzman Obituary


Eva Jane Fritzman (Janie) went into eternity and into the loving arms of her Savior on January 30, 2025, surrounded by her niece.

Janie was born on September 26, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Esther Beltrami and sister of Janice.

She was married to Dewey Fritzman, who preceded her in death in 2021. She is survived by four children, two biological and two born in her heart. John Bixler (Cindi) and four grandchildren (Heather, Jacob, Kayla and Jesse) of Berryville, VA and Sylvia Barb, who preceded her in death in 2024, (Thomas) of Luray, VA. Nita Fritzman of Spotsylvania, and Michael Fritzman of Bunker Hill, WV along with four great-grandchildren (Mason, Hailey, Elijah and Juniper) and her niece and her caregiver Christine Trish, her Godson Michael Pyle, her Yorkie Joy Joy and numerous amazing nieces and nephews.

She always said she was blessed with Faith, Family and Friends and a wonderful career at the United States Information Agency, Voice of America. She began her career as a GS-2 Clerk Typist and retired 37 years later as a Senior Executive, receiving numerous awards over the years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Woodstock, VA and served her church when her health permitted.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 116 Lakeview Drive, Woodstock, VA 22664

At her request, there will be no memorial services.
