Hattie Melton Obituary
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, Fort Valley with Pastor T.J. Delph. Burial will follow in Cross Roads Cemetery, Fort Valley.
Ms. Melton was born January 4, 1936 in Lucketts, Va., daughter of the late Isaac and Ruth Loy Fletcher. She was a cook for many years for K-Mart. She was a member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church, Arcola, Va.
Surviving are two daughters, Teresa Mongold of Kearneysville, W.Va., and Karen Moore of Middleburg; two sons, Charles Melton, Jr. of Dover, Del. and Gregory Melton of Fort Valley; two sisters, Lucille Osborne of White Hall and Janie Delph of Mt. Airy, N.C.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joey Melton, Aaron Melton, Randy Sine, Jeremy Gray, Jacob Moore and Thomas Mongold.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service, Bowmans Crossing.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hattie Mae Melton Burial fund, 14116 S. Middle Rd., Edinburg, Va. 22824.

Although we did not know Mrs. Melton, Janie and Pastor Tom are dear to our hearts. Mrs. Delph has been requesting prayer for Mrs. Melton and her family recently. We will continue to pray for the family in these days ahead as we know you are experiencing a void in your hearts.
