Herbert Jaeger Obituary

JAEGER, Herbert Ernest February 3, 1930 - December 31, 2014 With great sadness our beloved 'Bert' has passed. He is predeceased by his father, Emil Jaeger, his mother, Carolina (Armbruster) Jaeger and his brother, Gordon Jaeger. He will be greatly missed by his soul mate and wife, Sharon Selinger, her daughter, Leasa (Cory) Riglin, North Battleford, Sask. and their children; her son Robert (Janet) Selinger, Saskatoon, Sask. and their child; his son Bert (Valerie) Jaeger, Victoria; his daughter, Sherry (Dean) Moore, Innifail, Alberta. His grandchildren, Tanna (Casey), Brandy (Matt) and Chase (Sheila), Luke and Kyle. His great grandchildren, Kaiden, Jayda, Lincoln, Ava and Lillianna. Bert was born in Fenwood, Saskatchewan. In his early years, Bert loved playing the guitar and accordion and was in a group that played on the radio. He worked at different jobs but then discovered the insurance business, and for 40 years he was an insurance broker, for which he won many awards. Bert had a unique personality that drew many people to him. In his later years he moved to the Parksville/Nanaimo area. Bert and Sharon loved to travel and went to many places which gave them many happy memories. Bert also enjoyed working in the garden and at Christmas he lit up his home with lots of lights and decorations. There will be a tea in Bert's honour on Saturday, January 10th, between 1-4 pm at 6241 Farber Way (Crest 2) near Pleasant Valley School. Sands ~ Nanaimo
