James Ferrell Obituary
Mr. Ferrell was born on July 9, 1945 in Capon Bridge, WV, a son of the late Rex H. and Bessie M. Wilson Ferrell.
He worked as Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Winchester, VA. He was veteran in the United States Navy having served in Vietnam and was a 1963 graduate of Wardensville High School. He was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church in Capon Springs, WV, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Sons of the Confederates,Turner Ashby Chapter.
Surviving is one son, James L. Ferrell, II of Maricopa, AZ; five brothers, Max Ferrell of Middletown, VA; Richard Ferrell of Kanawha Head, WV; Rolland "Zeke" Ferrell of Stephens City, VA, Robert Ferrell and William Ferrell both of Baker, WV; one step-granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held at the Loy-Giffin Funeral Home in Wardensville, WV on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Officiating will be Pastor Greg Wilkins. Interment will be at the Greenfield Cemetery in Wardensville, WV.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 19, 2011 from 6-8 PM.
