Joyce Wolfe Obituary
Joyce was born June 17, 1947, in Marion, VA, daughter of the late Elmer Warren Truslow and Katherine Jackson Truslow.
Joyce grew up in Winchester, VA, graduating from Handley High School in 1965, and went on to obtain her B.S. degree in Mathematics from Madison College (aka., James Madison University), in 1969. She began her career as a math teacher in Frederick County, VA, and retired as the librarian from Clarke County High School in 2013.
She married Thomas Reed Wolfe, on November 21, 1970.
Joyce was a member of the Berryville Baptist Church and Alpha Delta Kappa - Beta Xi, a society for women educators.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Edward Truslow, and her husband of 43 years, Thomas.
She is survived by her son Timothy Wolfe and his wife Mary of Landsdowne, VA; daughter Katherine Wolfe Lemarr of Winchester, VA; three grandchildren Kayla Lemarr, Bennett Wolfe, and Ellis Wolfe; nieces Alexis Truslow of Leeds, MA and Letitia Bolton of Durham, NC.
A Memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 16, 2026 at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 15, 2026 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Berryville Baptist Church, 114 Academy Street, Berryville, VA 22611 or Alpha Delta Kappa Beta Xi scholarship fund, c/o Kathy Hudson, 308 S. Church St., Berryville, VA 22611.
