Dear Kenneth, Jr., Kim, and Nancy, and extended Family and Friends,

My best remembrance of Ken, Sr. was his offering me to be first opportune buyer of a ranch style home I rented from him for about 6 months for $5,000 less than what he had it listed for. I decided not to, though a very fair offer at that time. Years later when I saw him in town after leaving his employment after eight years of service as a machinist in the model shop at Coleman's, I told him my regrets in not buying it. He admitted it would have been a good buy for me at the time. Another, was he and Judy's giving a turkey to all their employees every thanksgiving in a personal manner as we left from work, and then at Christmastime's year's end he gave a small token of profit sharing out of a million dollars of profit or more for about 50 employees' services. When we all are thankful for the little things in life, God blesses us with bountiful blessings that an abundance of money cannot buy like health, peace of soul, pure motives, spiritual love, humility, forgiveness of another's faults, the grace of God, and a genuine love for our neighbor as our own self. Truly these are the things that Jesus said eternal life consists ofnot the abundance of the things which we possess. Let us all learn more about being content and being thankful for the things that really matter like the need for the Spirit of Grace and Truth. We can all be assured that where Ken is in eternity right now, he would remind us all that living pleasing to God and treating one another justly with a right attitude and spirit is more important than anything we could ever attain in this world. As Jesus commanded, Ken would say, Give God first place in your heart and love your neighbor as yourself because every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess throughout eternity that Jesus is the Lord to the glory of our heavenly Father both in heaven and hell.

In deepest empathy,
Gordon Allen, Allen's Pianos
