Kevin Lee Barb

Kevin Lee Barb (58), of Piney River, returned to the arms of our Lord Monday, March 3, 2025. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 7, 2025, at 2:00pm, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jerome. Pastor Sonja Williams-Giersch will officiate.

Kevin was born in Woodstock, VA on March 6, 1966 to Hubert Henry Barb and Mary Elizabeth (Miller) Barb. He grew up in Charlottesville, VA and graduated from Charlottesville High School in 1984 where he was a member of the lacrosse team and the marching band. He is an Eagle Scout and attended Clench Valley College. Beyond his work at Food Lion and R.R. Donnelley over the years he enjoyed farming of all kinds and teaching about it. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and mentoring any child that crossed his path. Kevin will be remembered as a coach for the Shenandoah County Lacrosse Club and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jerome, VA. He was also a frequent attendee of Rose Union Baptist Church in Piney River.

He is survived by his children, Sarah E. Riley (Tony) of Virginia Beach and Cody J. Barb (Jennifer) of Edinburg; his companion, Tracy Greer Cadora of Piney River; grandchildren, Autumn Foster, Alyx Branson; one unborn grandson; great-grandson, Hart Foster; and by adopted grandchildren, Parker and Emily Cadora, Jeanie, Eliana, Caleb Waltz. He was additionally survived by his siblings, James F. Barb (Julie) of New Market and Rebecca L. Jenkins of Edinburg.
