Leon Ray Clem

Leon Ray Clem, 86, of Woodstock, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at Winchester Medical Center. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service in Edinburg. Pastor Beverley Funkhouser will officiate. Burial will follow in Isaiah Clem Cemetery in Fort Valley. The family will receive friends from 1230-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Clem was born February 10, 1939 in Fort Valley, son of the late Raymod Lee Clem and Brucie Rinker Clem. He was an army veteran and a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a former member of Woodstock American Legion, Edinburg VFW, Woodstock Moose Lodge and New Market Eagles.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Hower Clem whom he married on June 27, 2009; three daughters, Penny Clem (Jerry) of Woodstock, Leigh Clem of Maurertown and Annette Clem Reedy (Dean) of Maurertown; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother and sisters, Everett Munch, Betty Munch, Ruby Swartz, Reva Buchanan, Treva Clinedinst, Janet Guess and Linda Fitchett.

Pallbearers will be Edward Lynn Halton, Richard Buchanan, Dean Allen Reedy II, Todd Bynaker, Bruce Bynaker, and Roger Bynaker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Reynard.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

Leon was a self-taught musician of string instruments. He enjoyed blue grass music and performed in the local bands, Shenandoah River Boys and Thrash N Hollar. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
