As a fellow member of VFW, Mitch was a true patriot and friend. I have been very pleased that Mitch had foresight into many situations. I am devastated at his untimely demise. We have been to many function together and he always had that infectious smile. Mitch...wishing you fair weather and following seas. Sail on brother.

I was shocked and devastated to learn of Mitch's untimely passing. It was an honor and a joy to provide his medical care for the past 15 years. Deepest condolences to you, Sue and Casey and Sid, from everyone in my office. We will miss Mitch dearly.

Mitch was a great friend to our Chapter. After COVID we were floundering and looking for a place to meet, and he through our Chapter President Ronnie Zerkel offered Post VFW 2447 as a meeting place. He worked with our Chapter to help organize activities at the Annual Veterans Tribute at the county fair. He often attended our meetings and fostered an ongoing relationship between our Chapter and the VAW.
On behalf of Chapter 936 Vietnam Veterans of America we offer our most sincere sympathies to Suzanne, Casey, Sidney and the rest of the family.
It was an honor and privilege to have Mitch as part of our lives and organization, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
God Bless, and GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

I met Mitch through my membership in the VVA Chapter 936, and we became friends. I loved his sense of humor and willingness to help anyone with anything! HE will be greatly missed by my wife Karen and I, and anyone who knew him.

I am so sorry to hear of Mitch passing away. He was my friend. I always looked forward seeing him on his Hempstead PD motorcycle or at the 310th and 800th MP Brigade. My sympathy to Sue and his family. He was a good friend.

Mitch it was always a pleasure to work with you at the Hempstead Police Dept . You were a good friend and a good cop. I remember calling you on
the radio and asking you to give me a hand with various people who were probably going to give us a hard time. You always were right there and a great backup. Rest in peace Brother. Praying for your family.
