Paul Carter Obituary
Paul Barnett Carter, Sr., age 69, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at his residence in Front Royal, VA.
Paul was born October 29, 1942, in Washington, D.C. to Geneva Carter; he loved football, baseball, boxing and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors are his wife; Daisy T. Carter of Front Royal, VA, children; Gerald Carter (Terry), Angela King, Rhonda Dorsey, all of Winchester, VA, Sandra Carter of Front Royal, VA, brother; Jeffrey Hamm of Grove, CA, sister; Joyce Robinson of Woodbridge, VA, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, a son; Paul Barnett Carter, Jr. and a daughter; Yvonne Carter precede Paul in death.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 13, 2010, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home, 1200 N. Shenandoah Ave., Front Royal, VA 22630. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 14, 2010, at 12:00 noon at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2932 Atoka Rd., Rectortown, VA 20140 with Rev. Norman Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Odd Fellow Cemetery, Rectortown, VA.
Gentlemen serving as pallbearers are Edward Butler, Robert Christian, Joseph King, Sr., William Lyde, Kenneth Reid and Bill Turner.
