Pearl Pecsenye Obituary
Pearl Pecsenye, 84, of Strasburg, VA passed away Friday, March 4, 2022, at Greenfield Reflections in Strasburg.
Pearl was born in Miskolc, Hungary in 1937, the daughter of the late Ferenc and Piroska Zombor. She was a member of the Hungarian Social Club in Florida. Pearl loved sewing, gardening and cooking, especially serving dinner for family and friends at the Social Club. Pearl was a kind and generous soul and will be truly missed by family and friends.
She married Andrew Pecsenye on June 25, 1957, in Flint, MI. He preceded her in death.
Pearl was survived by daughters, Suzanna Demski (Kevin) and Pearl Peck (Raymond); grandson, Matthew Demski; brothers, Miklos Zombor (Betty) and Paul Zombor; nephew, Jason Zombor and niece, Margo Bocsi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Michael Demski; sister, Margaret Bocsi; and brother, Frank Zombor.
A visitation will be Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 12pm with a service to follow at 1pm, all held at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park. Officiating will be Pastor Alan Morrison.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Pearl to: Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601.

Piroska Néni was a great cook. She loved to feed anyone walking in her kitchen. Always smiling, always positive. She would light up the room when she walked in. Her shining light will be sorely missed.
