Philip Sheetz Obituary


Philip Lee Sheetz Sr., 64, of Mt Jackson, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024, at Sentara RMH surrounded by his loved ones.

Philip was born on November 30, 1959, in Guam. He was the son of the late Roy and Frances Grant Sheetz.

Philip is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Cathy. A daughter, Carrie Sheetz (partner Matthew Cox); a son Philip Lee Sheetz Jr. and his wife Nicole Sheetz. A sister Janet Sheetz. 3 beloved grandchildren, Graycee Cox, Elias Sheetz, Callie Sheetz and 2 beloved nieces Dana Dodson and Lorrie Newland.

Philip was a jack of all trades and owned Sheetz Home Improvement for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and lover of nature. There are many places in the valley that he touched. He was scoutmaster of Troop 117 in Mt Jackson, volunteered for the forest service, and worked for Mt Jackson farm service and Zerkel's Hardware for many years.

There will be no service per Philip's wishes. Any family or friends that wish to reach out or visit may do so at any time.

In lieu of flowers or donations please donate to the Hahn Cancer Center at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, VA.

Arrangements are in the care of Dellinger Funeral Homes, Mt Jackson.
