Richard Sealock Obituary
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Bennett's Chapel United Methodist Church conducted by The Rev. Dr. William N. Wade. Burial in Bennett's Chapel Cemetery will be private.
Mr. Sealock was born March 2, 1939, in Front Royal, son of the late James Turner and Dorothy Strosnider Sealock. He was a retired welder with the Local Union 602, a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the National Rifle Association, and a member of Bennett's Chapel United Methodist Church. He founded the Friends of the Shenandoah River and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife Barbara Scott Sealock; two daughters Robin Kelce of Front Royal and Darlene Coleman of North Carolina; a brother Hollis Sealock of Front Royal; a sister Evelyn Steed of Front Royal; and four grandchildren Katie Pehowski, Tyler Coleman, Nancy Kelce, and Austin Kelce. He was preceded in death by a son Richard Daniel "Danny" Sealock, II; two brothers James "Jimmy" Sealock and Donny Sealock; and two sisters Peggy Sealock and Virginia Burke.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Coleman, Austin Kelce, Matt Kelce, Buster Steed, Bernie Steed, and Jay Sealock.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.
