Steven Hinkle Obituary
Steven Lynn "Bear" Hinkle, 68, of New Market, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Mr. Hinkle was born October 6, 1953, in New Market, son of the late Earl D. Hinkle and Frances Louise Lloyd Hinkle. He was a 1972 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and attended Lord Fairfax Community College. He was a partner with Hinkle Masonry. He was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church and the New Market Eagles.
He is survived by his daughter, Angie Louise Hinkle Pool and husband Eric of New Market; sister, Pamela J. Ryman and husband Orville of New Market; brother, Earl M. Hinkle and wife Gwen of New Market; stepbrother, Don Neely from WV; two granddaughters, Allie Lynn Pool and Taylor Paige Pool; nieces and nephews, Amy Proctor and husband Joe, Jill Lyn Seal and husband Chris, Matthew E. Hinkle and wife Tara, Lee C. Hinkle and wife Sumer and other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Market Rebels, P.O. Box 902, New Market, VA 22844 or St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
"Bear" loved hunting and going to Rebel's baseball games, but his pride and joy were his granddaughters. He always had a witty attitude and a big smile. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
