Teresa Evans Callahan

1938 - 2015

Teresa Evans Callahan, 76, of Boyce, VA, died February 24, 2015 in the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

Mrs. Callahan was born July 9, 1938 in Jersey City, New Jersey, daughter of the late Walter Evans and Teresa Veronica O'Brien Evans.

She was an honors graduate of Seton Hall University.

She founded Homeport, LLC, whose purpose focused on funding for education.

She was a member of St. Bridget's Chapel in the Field, Berryville, VA.

She married Joseph Edward Callahan on June 1, 1963.

Surviving with her husband, are three sisters, Eileen Pfeifer, Susan Cordano and Deborah Brown.

Her sister, Maureen "Cookie", and her brother, Walter, both preceded her in death.

A funeral mass will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at St. Bridget's Chapel in the Field, with Rev. Stanley J. Krempa officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.

The family will receive friends from 1 ­- 2 p.m., prior to the service at the church.
