Wallace Foster Obituary


Wallace Ray Foster, 83, of Toms Brook, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Brookside Rehab and Nursing Home in Warrenton. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 11:00am at Zion Christian Church Cemetery. Pastor Heidi Davis Young will officiate.

Mr. Foster was born July 31, 1941, in Maurertown, son of the late Ray Franklin Foster and Lila Virginia Seal Foster. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and formerly worked as a caretaker for Kosen in Winchester.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Jackson Foster of Toms Brook; stepson, Harold Jackson Jr.; two nieces, Darlene Mitchell Shiley and husband Mac of Maurertown and Dawn Hottle Sager and husband Bill of North Carolina; two great-nephews, Chad Mitchell Shiley and wife Carrie and Justin Wayne Sager; great-great-niece, Haley Elizabeth Shiley; and two great-great-nephews, Andrew Mitchell Shiley and Bradley Warren Shiley. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen Foster Hottle and Jane Foster Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Toms Brook Fire Department.
