I remember Mr. Wood as a good mentor to the youth in the community when he coached little league baseball. He always found a way to give his players positive reinforcement no matter their skill level limitations. An unselfish individual who truly will be missed.

Bill and my late husband Bobby worked together at Avtex. We would stop and chat anytime we would see him in his front yard.
Bill was a very kind man. I have learned he was also our oldest member of American Legion Post 53.
Prayers for his family and friends.

I had the honor and privilege of meeting and interviewing Mr Wood on his WWII service. His story of his service and family history is something that will live on forever. My condolences to the family. God Bless him and those he served with.
