My sincere sympathy to Barbara's sons. I had known Barbara for many years-lst at the hospital where I worked with her, then again working with her in home health. I used to throw her paper to the front door when I ran early in the am around Bayshore. Your mom was a very special lady: so gracious, caring, and giving to people. How sad, that she left us at such an early age. She made an impact on many lives and surely sits on a special throne in heaven. I will miss Barbara. Mary Newcomer

Kids, know that your loving mother is at home and at peace.I got to thank her for taking such good care of Shawn through his teens, and all she said was all of you were her light, no thanks needed.Memories are our blessing, as she was to all!

Barbara was a lady full of grace and I will miss her. Her time as a leader at Covenant Hospice was far too short but she left me with the special gift of getting to work with her as a nurse and see her compassion first hand. Thank you Barbara!

Barbara was a dear friend, fellow nurse and volunteer with the ACS. She was a great mediator; she had grace and class in everything she did and said. So happy that I got to see her and tell her I loved her occasionally the last few months. I will miss my friend.

I was sadden to hear of your Mum's passing. She was such a beautiful lady. Having the pleasure of working with her for more than 10 years - my heart is flooded with special memories - of laughter and tears as we built the legacy of the Relay For Life events all across the area.
She and I would spend hours talking about what really was important in life - and it was always her pride in you boys and the love of Pete.
She was such a tiny little thing - yet she will leave a very large hole in our hearts... My thoughts and prayer are with you Boys and Pete !

As I read the story of Barbara's life I was drawn to the words GRACE and ELEGANCE which sum of qualities Barbara displayed no matter what she was doing, setting a table, dressing or buying a gift for a friend. Her gentle nature was reflected in all she did and a reminder that kindness and love is what we all seek. She gave in abundance. Blessings to her family and to Pete who loved her so. She will be missed.
