Carl Manuel Griffith

Crestview - Carl Manuel Griffith of Crestview, Florida passed away on June 17, 2021. He was born in Baker, Florida to Otis Griffith and Carolyn Bass Griffith.

He was a 1966 graduate of Crestview High School and a graduate of the University of West Florida where he received his Master of Education in 1984.

Carl taught school in Okaloosa County for 38 years as a Special Education Teacher. He also worked with the Special Olympics throughout his career.

He was an avid traveler and loved to go on cruises and excursions all over the world.

Carl is preceded in death by his father, Otis Griffith and twin brothers Ronald and Rodger Griffith. Carl is survived by his wife, Delia Hobbs Griffith; mother, Carolyn Bass Griffith; brother, Dale Griffith, and wife, Pam; sister, Theresa Hinds, and husband, Ricky; son, Nicholas Blackerby and wife, Gidget; son, Jason Blackerby; three grandchildren, Dultn Sigala, Dylan Sigala, and Kaden Blackerby; niece, Nicole Clay; niece, Stacie Peterson, and husband, Ashley; nephew, Michael Ermy; nephew, Daniel Ermy, and wife Lindsay; and numerous grand nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Brackney Funeral Home in Crestview. Memorial services will be held at 2pm Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Brackney Funeral Home.

Flowers are appreciated, or in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Special Olympics of Florida or the National Tay-Sachs & Allied Diseases Association, Inc. (NTSAD) for Infantile Sandhoff.
