Edward Fleckenstein Obituary

Mr. Edward A. Fleckenstein, age 67, passed away Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015. He was born July 19, 1948, in Buffalo, New York, to Maurice and Joan Field Fleckenstein.
Mr. Fleckenstein was a resident of Point Washington. He was Methodist by faith and a member of the Point Washington United Methodist Church. He worked with Publix Grocery in sales at Watercolor. He spent 20 years in Hotel Management in food and beverage. He owned Fermentations a Wine Bar in Seaside. He enjoyed music and reading, and also was a baseball fan.
Mr. Fleckenstein is preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Fleckenstein is survived by his loving wife, Alicia W. Betts, of Point Washington; two sons, Lane Fleckenstein of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and Eric Fleckenstein and wife, Wendy, of California; one daughter, Allison Fleckenstein of Colorado; two step-daughters, Kenna Betts and Katie Betts, both of Santa Rosa Beach; one brother, Ross Fleckenstein and wife, Anna, of Michigan; and three grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua and Emma Grace Fleckenstein.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at Point Washington United Methodist Church; 1290 North Highway 395, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32549, with Reverend Spencer Turnipseed officiating.

I met Ed on my first week at SUNY Morrisville. He was one of a kind! My husband and I both have so many amazing memories of our time together. Though we lost contact over time I still feel a great loss and hope that his family finds great comfort in remembering this dynamic soul! Ed Will always have a special place in our hearts.

My husband Jan & I are still taken back by the lost of Edd , we've met many times thu the years him being my son(in law) Eric's "father ..Eric is his son and Eric is our son , my grandchildren are "his grandchildren,We Shared theses wonderful gift between us, I think what I'll remember most was his smile " it just was always there !! The times we were all together " he was always smiling .. His Passing is so devastating for his kids , family and friends .. our Thoughts and prayers are with Everyone .. My condolences to the family, especially my dear Ross. I am a distant cousin and while I only met Ed a couple of times, Joanie's stories about him are legend. You all have my deepest sympathy.
