He is survived by his wife, Cecile (Keyser); children, Jason (Shannon), Jeremy and Erica; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Valparaiso.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Cecile, I worked with John for many years at Eglin. Brilliance, patience, and a great smile are some of my memories. On a work trip to Michigan, John agreed to go with me to a college basketball game. Like 99% of all other subjects, John knew college basketball like he knew his math subjects. I was not surprised. Our prayers are with you.
