Anton G. "Tony" Bavetz, age 89, of McHenry, passed away Friday, October 14, 2017 in McHenry.
He was born October 24, 1927, the son of Andrew and Mary (Adlesic) Bavetz. Tony loved the race track and "parties on the hill" best of all. He had fond memories of visiting Acapulco, which he drove to and visited every year since he was 17. He enjoyed pig roasts with family and friends who meant everything to him. He especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He will be missed very much.
Tony is survived by his siblings, Anne Redensek of Wauconda, John Bavetz of Tempe, Arizona, Margaret Smith of Hoffman Estates, Dolores Wojtysiak of Mundelein; and his many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mary Bavetz; brothers, Andrew Bavetz, Frank Bavetz, Edward Bavetz; and sisters, Mary Bavetz, Julie Koffend, Frances Flicek.
Memorial visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 31 North Banquets & Catering, 271 Front St., McHenry at 11:30am.
Memorial donations may be made in Tony's name to the Anne & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital Chicago Foundation, 222 E. Chicago Ave., Chicago, IL 60611.
