Cecilia Michonski (nee Zemola) passed away from Covid-19 at Symphony Maple Crest care center in Belvedere, IL on Monday December 7, 2020.

She was born on July 11, 1926, in Chicago, to Henry Zemola and Victoria Lusak, both of whom had emigrated from Poland.

Ceil has now joined parents, Henry and Victoria; 4 brothers, Ed, Henry, Al, and Frank Zemola; and 3 of her sisters, Theresa Molenaar, Harriet Smith, and Sophie Litwin.

After raising her family in Cary, IL, she later moved to Woodstock, IL and later retired in Huntley, IL.

Always employed, Ceil was involved in industry all through her career. Starting out doing war production work in Chicago, she continued in the industrial/metal working industry until retirement. In her retirement she kept busy with several part time jobs as a gas station clerk. She loved to work. She also gave her time to her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She loved them all.

She is survived by her children, Debra (Patrick) Fimon of Lakewood, IL and Richard (Barbara) Michonski of Marengo, IL; grandchildren, Kimberly (Christopher) Herzog of Middleville, MI, Valerie Michonski (Jason) Mason of Woodstock, IL, and Daniel Michonski of Marengo, IL; great-grandchildren, Hunter Herzog of Middleville MI, Sage Michonski of Marengo, IL, Luke Herzog of Middleville, MI, Jonah Dusenberry, and Ava Dusenberry of Woodstock, IL, Grettell Michonski, Christopher Michonski, and Genesis Michonski of Marengo, IL, and Hazel Bojorges of Marengo, IL.

There will be a memorial service close to her birthday in July when the world should be a safer place.
