Daniel Martin Odarczenko, 55, of McHenry, passed away on September 5, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Iwan and Joan (Miller) Odarczenko on January 17, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois. A former resident of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, Daniel relocated to McHenry where he spent the latter portion of his lifetime.
Daniel was known by everyone for his love of all things Chicago. He was a serious sports fan, and loved the Cubs, the Bulls, the Blackhawks, and the Bears. Even greater than his love of sports was his love of his family. Daniel was the peacemaker, always wanting to mend fences, and was notorious for family gatherings and wonderful cookouts.
He is survived by his father; his brothers, Steve (Marcia) Odarczenko and Mike Odarczenko; his sisters, Rose Odarczenko and Diane (Bernardo) Venancio; multiple nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews, cousins, and an abundance of friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his mother; and his uncle, Wasil Odarczenko.
Family and friends may gather on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050. The memorial service for Daniel will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
The cremation rite was accorded privately.
