Edward Ozog Obituary

Edward Scott Ozog
It is with great sadness that Edward Scott Ozog, of McHenry, a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many, has peacefully passed away with his beloved daughters by his side. Born on April 4th, 1949, to Edward and Shirley Ozog, he spent his childhood growing up in Chicago, the youngest of 3, before moving to Mchenry where he graduated from McHenry East Campus. Ed's greatest joy was his family, his dog Biebs and spending time while having really long conversations with friends. Being a grandfather came naturally for Ed. He shared the exciting life of a father who was lucky enough to find and pursue his passions and hobbies. Past summers, he could often be found at Wilmot Speedway racing his late model stock car #34.5 with many victories. He had a love for camping and fishing. He was a huge sport enthusiast, loved NASCAR, football and baseball with his favorite teams being the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Cubs. He even taught his dog Beibs to howl when the Packers would score a touchdown. Ed is the only man we all knew that drove a Ford Excursion van over a million miles throughout the US because he took such great care of it. He overall had a huge passion for life and loved to live while always being happy. Edward will be greatly missed by all and his memories, laughs, and humor will be cherished for an eternity. Edward will be remembered by the way he touched all our hearts.
Edward is survived by his wife Anna, loving daughters Carrie and Elizabeth, and precious granddaughter, Saige; two siblings Sharon Melahn and Adrienne (Rick) Burman; and many nieces and nephews.
Ed is proceeded in death by his parents; and son, Scott Edward Ozog.
A visitation will be held at Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home, 8103 Wilmot Road, Spring Grove, IL, on Sunday, January 29, 2023, from 1 pm until 4:30 pm at which time there will be a sharing of memories.
