Judy Louise (Conway) Naughton, 81, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025.
Born on September 24, 1944, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Judy grew up in Woodstock, Illinois, and attended St. Mary's Grade School, Marian Central High School, and Dominican (Rosary) University, where she earned a degree in American Studies.
On September 4, 1965, she married the love of her life, Charles ("Chuck") Naughton, at St. Mary's Church in Woodstock. Together they raised four children and shared 60 years of love, laughter, and devotion.
After years devoted to her family, Judy fulfilled her dream of becoming an educator, earning a degree in elementary education from National Louis University. She taught kindergarten and first grade at St. Mary's in Woodstock for many years, leaving a lasting mark on her students and community.
In retirement, Judy expressed her creativity through quilting, basket-making, and sewing with her granddaughters. She cherished time spent with her family at their Door County home, where she found joy in simple moments and togetherness.
Judy is survived by her husband, Chuck; her children, Timothy (Lora) Naughton, Molly Wolf, Patrick (Esa) Naughton, and Michael (Cheryl) Naughton; her sisters; Erin Hosty, Colleen Conway, Mary Conway, and Sarah Buss along with her beloved dog, Nellie; and her grandchildren, Cameron, Eli, Cade, Maddie, and Maya.
Her warmth, kindness, and love of learning will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
