Died: May 11, 2023 in McHenry IL
Keith L. Klapperich, age 69 of Johnsburg, IL passed away surrounded by loved ones at Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital on May 11, 2023. Loving husband to Janet (Blackmon) for 49 wonderful years. Dear and loving brother to Everett (Debra), Loren (Sue), and Elizabeth Klapperich. Loving brother-in-law to Joan Ehorn, Jane (Gary) Larson, James (the late Donna) Blackmon, and the late Leo Blackmon. Born to parents Wilfred and Estelle Klapperich. Dear son-in-law to the late Lois and Webster Blackmon. Beloved uncle to Everett John (Regina) Klapperich, Matthew (Letha) Klapperich, James (Corrie) Klapperich, Stephanie (Jon) Betts, Mike (Luann) Bulow, Mary (John) Kay, Laurie (Mike) Van Cleve and Kathy (Hank) Strombach. Adored uncle to many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Keith graduated from McHenry High School in 1972. He worked for Brake Parts, Inc. for 30+ years, before going to work for Baxter at the Round Lake, Illinois location. He took pride in caring for his lawn with his John Deere mower and gardening. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, and was known to play baseball with the Brake Parts Inc. recreational team. Donations to the American Cancer Society are appreciated. A visitation will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Colonial Funeral Home in McHenry from 9:00-10:30am. A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg, Thursday, May 18, at 11:00am. Interment to follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
