Died: November 1, 2025 in Chicago, IL
Kelly Lynn Weaver, age 62, of Woodstock, IL, passed away on November 1, 2025. She was born September 2, 1963 in Oak Park, IL to her loving parents, Arthur and Judith (née Storck) Carlson. A graduate of Barrington High School and Valparaiso University, Kelly's dedication to helping others defined both her professional and personal life. She began her career as a Manager at The Kelsey Road House, later serving as a Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics, where her leadership and warmth inspired many. Most notably, she was the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Alexander Leigh Center for Autism, a therapeutic day school for students with autism. This role perfectly reflected her deep commitment to supporting children and families in need.
Kelly was married to her husband, Kevin, for 15 years, until his passing in July, 2004. Together, they built a life grounded in love and shared purpose. Kelly carried that spirit forward with grace and strength, especially in the life she built with her daughter, Gillian, who remained the center of her world.
Kelly found great joy in the simple pleasures of life-spending time outdoors, vacations by the beach, and creating magical Christmas memories through her elaborate decorating.
Kelly was a devoted mother, compassionate leader, and tireless advocate for others. Her light, love, and legacy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Above all, Kelly will be remembered for her giving heart, uplifting others with every step she took. She truly lived her purpose.
Kelly was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Weaver; brother, David Carlson; and mother, Judith (née Storck) Carlson. She is survived by her daughter, Gillian Leigh Weaver; father, Arthur Carlson; sister, Kristi (Mike) Butkus; aunt, Sandra (née Carlson) Lawler; sister-in-law, Randi (née Lisitza) (David) Carlson; nieces and nephews, Michael Jr. (Kelly née Martin) Butkus, Lauren (née Butkus) (Nathan) Schultz, Johnathon Butkus (Laura Risser), and Craig Carlson; and great-niece, Molly Butkus.
