Lena May Ivy, 79, was a current resident of Rockford and long-time resident of Carpentersville, IL. She was called home by God and passed peacefully on August 11, 2017 surrounded by close family.

She was born October 22, 1937 in Christopher, IL to Cecil and Grace Risley. She married John Albert Ivy, Jr. in 1954. Their blessed matrimony lasted for 53 years. She was a loyal, devoted and loving wife,mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved being with her family and was a proud wife and grandma to talented musicians in which she enjoyed watching them perform. She liked playing bingo and going to casinos occasionally. She attended church weekly and remained steadfast in her faith and devotion to God.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynda (James) Berry-Turner; son, John Albert (Jeaneen) Ivy, II; grandchildren, Gary and Brent Mueller, Kaylee (Eric) Barber, Kierstyn Berry, John Albert Ivy, IV, Payton Ivy, Kariss and Linnea King; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Risley; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by parents; husband; daughter, Trish (Ivy) King; sisters, Lil Stowers and Cecil Risley; and brother, Carl Risley.

Funeral will be at 10:30am on Saturday, August 19, 2017 with a visitation Friday night from 7:00 to 9:00pm in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park, IL 61111. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery, Rockford.
