Linnea Clare (Carlson) Chase, age 78, of Fox River Grove passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021, at her home. She was born November 20, 1942, in Moline, IL, daughter of Clarence and Lillian Carlson, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Chase, earlier this year.
Linnea is survived by her children: George Everett Chase, Elizabeth (Frank) Caccamo, and Carl Chase, as well as her brother: Clare (Eileen) Carlson.
She graduated from Moline High School in 1960 and went on to study Chemistry and Biology at Augustana College and graduated in 1964. Linnea and George were married on August 30, 1964 in Moline, IL. Together they raised 3 children, many dogs, and a treasured cat, in the same house in Fox River Grove for over 50 years.
Linnea worked as a Church Music Director for many years at St. Barnabas Lutheran Church, Cary, IL, and the Community Church of Barrington in Barrington, IL. She also taught many children and adults piano, at their home, in Fox River Grove. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching soccer and many other sports, traveling with her husband, playing the piano/organ/guitar, cooking, going to concerts, plays, and musicals, teaching, nature, and her family.
