Millard Burow Obituary
He was born May 7, 1922, in Boone County, to Albert and Mabel (Johnson) Burow. On March 17, 1953, he married Evalyn Thompson at Zion Lutheran Church in Marengo.
He proudly served in a U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific during World War II.
He was a lifelong area dairy farmer and a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Evalyn, of Marengo; his children, Arvin Burow of Sharon, Wis., Daniel Burow of Poplar Grove, Gary Burow of Marengo and Theresa (John) Udstuen of Stoughton, Wis.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his sister, Marion Hills of California; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Dorothy Collier and Winnefred Pundt.
The visitation will from 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 6, until the funeral at 11 a.m. at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Highway, Marengo. The Rev. Glen Borhart will officiate.
Interment will be in Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere.
Memorials may be made in his name to The McHenry County Farm Bureau Foundation, P.O. Box 1530, Woodstock, IL 60098 to benefit their Ag in the Classroom program.
